Basic installer script

I have a basic installer script ready for testing here. It works by copying the live filesystem to a folder that you want your install. (ex install2hd.sh /mnt/sda1)

It will not partition, put grub boot loader on hard drive or make menu.lst. You going to have learn that yourself for the time be.

Here is a link for installing grub boot loader and what grub menu.lst file looks like here.

I hope to have a compatable unetbootin iso this weekend so you guys can just use default boot option.

I hope this helps.

  1. Did as per your instructions. However can not find the exact grub entry in menu.lst. There is no initrd.img? Where can I find it.
Could you please provide the exact menu.lst entry if the copied files are on /dev/sdc4. Thank you.
