Archiso-live 20090224 Release

Changes since last release:

* Removed xampp-linux package. I added apache, gnump3d, and lighttpd for using archiso-live has a server option.

* Added 2 new boot menu options. These new menu options are so you can use non-free graphics drivers. This may mean better support for playing 3d games or adding compiz in later releases.

* Added a boot option called driver. This is so you can override the video driver that videoconfig wants to use.

* Everything is updated as of 5:00PM EST on 2009-02-24.

  1. Could you build a dvd version? You could include KDE4 that some people want. I don’t know if KDE4 is suitable for a live cd. I don’t really care for KDE4, but two of my friends that used your Live cd asked me if I could find a KDE4 version.

    Thanks you again.

  2. I won’t miss KDE :p

  3. There’s another project working with arch and kde. It is called the chakra project (http://chakra-project.org/download-iso.html). Personally, i prefer Godane’s solution with the *.lzma Modules. It makes the whole think much more modular. Another solution would be to modify the buid script of the archiso-live-cd. @Godane: does your script only work in the live-cd environment or should it work on an normal, conventional arch installation, too?.

    • Its best to use it in the livecd environment sense there are other packages need to build the livecd in my own repo. (ex. aufs needs a rebuild but has not gotten it yet.) It will also limit the amount of errors/questions that are ask if there system is not setup like archiso-live.
